Worker with developmental disability [My diary]

Recently, a worker who may have developmental disability works in our team. Of course, I know I don't have enough medical knowledge and experience to perform physical examination. But, I believe developmental disability is one of root cause of his low performance.
He needs twice time as other person including me to work. He doesn't proceed his work according to process defined in many times even though other person claims to do as defined in several times. He makes many mistakes during his work. He needs much other person's support and effort. And also, he seems not to understand that he makes trouble.

He started his work in our team about 1 year. At first, I tried to explain work to him, support his work. But, his performance wasn't improved in my point of view. I also consulted what and how to improve his work to my manager.
But, I gave up to improve his work, work attitude and support his work because he needs too much effort and I found he may be insensitive person.

I wish that his work contract is terminated. But, his contract is still continued unfortunately for me.
